AutoReqId 32532BR Function Supply Chain External Job Title Warehouse Supervisor Job Description Eaton Corporation's Distribution Center located in Memphis, TN has an opening for a 3rd shift, Warehouse Supervisor(11:30pm - 8:00am Sunday night to Friday morning). The facility distributes residential and light commercial electrical products.
The Warehouse Supervisor will have general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on the assigned shift on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising and receiving, warehousing and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
The essential functions that must be performed to meet the requirements of the position are listed below.
A. Responsible for daily scheduling of warehouse personnel on the assigned shift, to ensure proper staffing in order to select and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost effective manner.
B. Direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse shift, including shipping, receiving, replenishments, inventory control, etc.
C. Generate warehouse productivity reports in regard to picking rates, receiving rates and accounts for all labor hours both direct and indirect. Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and division goals.
D. Responsible for proper maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventative maintenance programs and all necessary repairs. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functions.
E. Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.
F. Responsible for safety procedures in department and ensuring employees receive effective and timely training in safe work practices. Demonstrate a commitment to health and safety by participating in site health and safety activities. Observe Safety policies, report unsafe acts, hazards, and maintain clean and orderly department.
G. Maintain accurate records on associate attendance, quality and productivity metrics as well as identify and implement any corrective actions.
H. Responsible for the disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensures a productive labor climate in the warehouse operation.
I. Support and initiate programs that improve our Balance Scorecard metrics such as productivity cost of sales, inbound and outbound DPMO, order and receipt cycle time.
J. Support and demonstrate all Eaton policies and procedures including Eaton Ethics, Eaton Business System, Eaton Lean Initiatives, Affirmative Action program, and Eaton Philosophy in the workplace. salary requirements/history. No phone calls or 3rd party vendors please.
Job Qualifications /Educational Requirements * Prior supervisory experience in a distribution/warehouse or logistics role is required.
* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or comparable field.
* Must have working knowledge of all processes involved in warehouse operations.
* Experience with systems including Vista, Warehouse Management Systems, as well as Microsoft Office programs.
* Must possess knowledge of transportation and logistics best practices.
* Must possess knowledge of basic safety practices.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* The ability to manage multiple people and handle confidential information.
* Must display the ability to manage projects relating to the operation and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
