Warehouse Supervisor
Supervisor in Edison, NJ
Position Summary
Hands on supervision of a work group. Responsibility for the work group’s performance including, but not limited to: inbound, outbound and tasking of orders. The Supervisor will report to the Operations Manager.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all the duties of a warehouse/office associate. (See Job Description)
- Assist in the training of all new associates, regarding our company’s policies and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain legible and accurate records and logs as required. This includes but is not limited to: in/out tasking logs and inbound/outbound driver logs.
- Assist associates with any job related issues. Alert CSRs and management of any problems you encounter; such as incorrect labeling, receipt discrepancies, etc.
- Review documents prepared by the work group for accuracy and legibility.
- Monitor performance and track the productivity of individual associates as well as the work group, reporting any unusual problems to the management. Assist in all disciplinary action (write-ups, suspension. etc.)
- Open and/or close the building as directed, assuring that all security measures have been taken and that housekeeping is complete.
- Report any and all unsafe conditions to the Operations Manager.
- Check schedule for inbound freight.
10. Check outbound orders and task orders to be picked. This includes: understanding special instructions and their explanation, making labels, problem solving, matching paperwork to its corresponding freight, and checking finished orders utilizing the SAP-RF system.
11. Observe the docks to assure that all associates are performing their assigned duties.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Qualifications/Requirements
Degree: High School Diploma
Skills: Must possess good verbal/written communication skills, excellent mathematical skills and proficiency using RF units.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year operating a forklift in a chemical environment.
Technical Skills: Must become proficient in SAP.
