Weaver Assistant 12-Hr. Night Shift 8:00pm - 8:00am
Responsibilities:
Job Overview:
*Work under the direction of the Weaver to perform elements of the job description. *Perform basic weaving procedures. *Recognize carpet defects including, but not limited to, wrong yarn plant and pattern sequence, wide dents and hook marks, bad yarn ends, wire marks, excessive filling tails, off color/off shade, uneven yarn sizes, etc. *Clean heddles *Inspect carpet pattern *Compare the approved carpet sample at the loom to the running carpet for incorrect yarns and patterns. Stop loom and notify the fixer or supervisor of any non-conformity found. *Record production data by shift. *Identify requirements on the product fabric spec sheet placed at the loom by the supervisor. *Complete folding loom inspection report. *Mark downtime cards. *Follow all safety rules and precautions. Wear all required safety equipment and personal protection devices. *Report all hazardous conditions and all accidents to management immediately. *Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervision.
Qualifications:
*Must possess High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalency *Must possess good communication skills. *5+ years manufacturing experience preferred, with weaving manufacturing background
