Web Designer
The Web Designer will lead the design effort for internal applications and external client-branded websites supported through our client and design of other cross-functional project initiatives.
Responsibilities will include working with staff to build mockups and prototypes of new web applications, establishing and maintaining style guidelines, producing designs, advertisement banners, various graphics for websites and marketing campaigns from concept through implementation.
Responsible for overall branding and style guidelines of our client and client portals.
Must have an understanding of internet design issues such as: browser usability, cross-platform compatibility, color, and quick loading images, etc.
Must be proficient in design software, in addition to being experienced with file formats and sizing graphics for print and web.
Also strong understanding of Internet marketing and communications combined with an awareness of new technologies, web site design, databases, and site maintenance.
Responsibilities include:
Creating or editing images, logos, icons, graphics, sales sheets, splash landing pages, web banners, internal dashboards, etc. for website
Designing product mockups and prototypes of new and user-friendly web applications
Support design and implementation of flash presentation of new applications or marketing initiatives
Creating product marketing campaign advertisements and documentation
Determining all coding requirements for site creation including: e-commerce capability, forms and specialized scripts
Creating templates of website layouts and applications
Design and implement creative designs and graphics using HTML and CSS (Cold Fusion a plus)
Coordinating with programmers for specialized scripts
Support of production systems and process flow designs
Creating verbal content for the website or using approved content
Integrating verbal content with site design for final product
Posting completed site to internet server using FTP software
Experience optimizing images for web user interface and creating HTML/CSS and understanding how mockups translate to code
Maintenance of templates and image archives
Produce a consistent visual image and web standards across our web sites
Interaction with peers, management, vendors and clients when necessary
