Boise based manufacturing company seeks an experienced Prototype Technician with the ability to work both independently and within a TEAM in a fast paced environment. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and is responsible for maintaining the R&D shop area. Work with Engineers and independently to assemble, repair, and test R&D prototypes, construct test fixtures and set up instrumentation and data acquisition systems. Qualifications include: Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and at least five years of relevant experience. Ability to operate a variety of machines including mills, lathes and mig and tig welders. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency in operating lathe, mill and welder, reading machine drawings and schematics and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electro-mechanical systems. A working knowledge of MS Office products is a plus.
