The Hamilton Sundstrand Internship and Co-operative Education Programs are the cornerstones of the company's college recruiting strategy. Students hired into these programs represent our pipeline of talent - our future executives! Both programs provide opportunities for short term work assignments for students pursuing degree programs directly related to Hamilton's core business.
INTERNSHIPS
Internships are for students who prefer shorter work periods, usually three months during the summer. A formal agreement is not required with the school. The company's goal is to relate employment opportunities to the student's academic majors to ensure maximum productivity for all parties involved. The goal of the Intern program is to enhance the student's academic training, professional growth, and personal development.
The majority of our interns work during the summer months, but there are occasionally opportunities for students to work on a part-time basis throughout the school year.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: CANDIDATES MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN COURSEWORK
EXPERIENCE: Pursuing a degree directly related to Hamilton Sundstrand's core business
* 3.0 minimum GPA
IND. EXP: Currently enrolled in college/university

Cooperative Education is a joint effort between business and education that combines classroom theory with career-related work experience. Through co-op assignments, students alternate semesters of full-time study with semesters of full-time paid employment. Like internships, cooperative education is also designed to enhance a student's academic training, professional growth, and personal development. Co-op students must be enrolled and maintain a satisfactory academic standing in a formal Cooperative Education Program at their undergraduate institution.
