    Demonstrates safety leadership by never making a decision that jeopardizes the health and safety of any employee, contractor or visitor to the Cicero LOBP. Sets a good example by always following procedures.Coordinates assigned department operations including the receipt, warehousing, blending, packaging and shipping of both packaged and bulk finished products and raw materials. Communicates with other Shift Coordinators and Operations Manager throughout the day to maintain an efficient plant operation. Ensures continuous improvement by guiding and motivating the workforce to set the standard for functional excellence. Promotes teamwork and empowerment to ensure the plant meets the production, safety, and customer service KPI's.


    • Maintains Operational Excellence.

    • Coordinates the activities of represented wage employees and contractors to ensure the plant meets safety

    • production, and customer service KPI's.

    • Develop/plan optimization of plant assets and manpower to ensure cost effective production and packaging of

    • quality products, and on time shipment.

    • Handles scheduling of work assignments, including overtime to ensure efficient operation with high level of

    • customer service. Communicates issues with appropriate stakeholders (eg. Business Support).

    • Owns/executes training of represented employees, including Tool box communication & CBT

    • Promotes use of LPS Tools, including hazard recognition, LPSA, LI/NLI reporting & effective LPO's.

    • Leads departmental monthly LPS stewardship meetings & ensuring LPS goals for department are met.

    • Provides vacation relief in addition to normal duties when other operational personnel are not available.

    • Coach/development of represented employees as well as embedded contractors.

    • Continuous improvement of operations. Drives departmental efficiency initiatives.

    • Support OIMS by fulfilling assigned sponsor/specialist responsibilities


    • Familiarity with bulk/blending, packaging, warehousing and shipping/receiving operations.

    • College degree, or equivalent plant experience

    • Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreement

    • Familiarity with base oils, additive, and product compatibilities

    • Familiarity with Prior Cargo guidelines

    • Teamwork and communication skills

    • Understanding of operations integrity, safety, and controls.

    • Understanding of procedures, work instructions & controls requirements related to assigned operations

    • Knowledge of Winblend Bulk Loading System & Inline Blending process/procedures

    • Understanding of SAP STRIPES & GWM

    • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence others
