    Bulk Flour Loader - Cheney, WA

    This is a full-time, hourly position.

    Bulk Flour loader Position Summary:

    • The milling plant processes wheat into flour and feed products. The position is staffed six to seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day on a three-shift basis.

    • Successful candidates will be willing to work overtime and weekends and call back when needed. Also, always show a professional image; maintain a positive and respectful attitude.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Safety and Health

    • Ensure a safe working environment for both employees and visitors.

    • Evaluate employee safe work practices according to ADM (Archer Daniels Midland) policies and procedures.

    • Can fill out various safety work permits and work safely. Perform VBS observations.

    • Participate in shift transition and huddle meetings on a daily basis.

    • Actively attend all safety training and meetings and pass associated tests as required.

    Production:

    • Set proper flour blend to meet customer specifications.

    • Understand flour loading schedule and make adjustments throughout the course of the shift as the loading plan changes.

    • Be able to follow mill production schedule and load trucks and rail cars accordingly to ensure the mill has storage bins available for future production runs.

    • Monitor various processing parameters and ensure equipment is set properly to pneumatically convey flour from silos to truck or rail cars.

    • Make process adjustments as needed to keep critical product specifications.

    • Perform weekly sifter check/repairs to ensure product integrity.

    • Can understand directions and accomplish detailed tasks.

    Food Safety:

    • Monitor and control integrity of finished flour; perform per load magnet checks; per load paperwork; daily policeman screen checks, and document all rebolt sifter inspections and repairs.

    • Comply with all HACCP/FS22000 procedures while maintaining master cleaning schedules and procedures.

    Quality:

    • Sampling flour from each vessel loaded or unloaded.

    • Understand blending procedures to mix flour and meet specifications of customers.

    • Able to perform all lab tests as determined necessary by Management.

    • Full understanding of electronic bill of lading process (ADM Weigh)

    • Understand and operate systems within quality parameters

    Sanitation;

    • Follow proper master sanitation and all cleaning procedures within all designated areas.

    Equipment Used/Physical Environment & Education Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

    • Hot conditions can be present in the summer months.

    • High noise levels from milling equipment, which includes extensive use of equipment for pneumatically conveying flour.

    • Can work both supervised and unsupervised at times.

    • Basic understanding of computers, math comprehension and previous plant environment is helpful.

    • Must have the ability to climb stairs, lift up to 50 lbs., bend, kneel, crawl, stand for lengthy periods, work in confined spaces, work with heights, and work in hot and cold temperatures and a dusty environment for extended periods of time.

    • Exhibit excellent work habits, including excellent attendance and individual productivity.
