Job Description

As a Clean Room Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling medical devices such as cartridges and insulin pumps. You will work on a manufacturing line, collaborating with a team to complete various assemblies, monitor semi-automated manufacturing processes, and operate machinery. Your role will encompass working within different lines including inspections, automated machines, sub-assembly/welding, and testing, while ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cartridges and insulin pumps on a manufacturing line.

• Operate machines and monitor semi-automated processes.

• Perform manual electro-mechanical assembly duties using small tools.

• Log data using a computer and review batch records for accuracy.

• Perform testing and troubleshooting of devices.

• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with hand tools and assembly work.

• Ability to follow work instructions in a production environment.

• Familiarity with cleanroom standards and GMP.

• Mechanical assembly knowledge, particularly in medical devices.

• Inspection and packaging skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Attention to detail is crucial, particularly in monitoring machines.

• Experience in fast-paced environments, such as fast food, is beneficial.

• Good work ethic and trainability.

• Ability to be a team player and punctual.

Work Environment

Work involves wearing full PPE for cartridge assembly, including a zipped jumpsuit, shoe covers, hairnet, mask, and gloves. Shifts are scheduled with potential overtime once exceeding 8 hours. Cleanroom protocols prohibit specific jewelry, makeup, perfume products, fabrics that shed, hairspray, fake nails, nail polish, and open-toed shoes. Openings are available for Cartridge on the first shift from 4 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and for Pump on the first shift from 3:45 AM to 2:15 PM, Monday to Thursday.

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $17.40/hr.
