  • Job Description:

    ACCOUNTABILITIES - describe role accountabilities/responsibilities, i.e. what the role does. Should cover the following:

    • Modify and troubleshoot CNC programs and update G-Code as needed.

    • Setup and operate Swiss CNC Machines (Citizen, Star, Tornos)

    • Read blueprints, job orders, and tooling instructions to understand production requirements.

    • Machine parts to required specifications.

    • Inspect machined pieces to verify conformance to specifications.

    • Monitor machine operation and verify workpiece conformance using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMM, and optical comparators).

    • Conduct first-article inspections (FAIs) for medical components.

    • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO standards (e.g., ISO 13485), and other relevant guidelines.

    • Support New Product Introductions, Product Modification requests in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.

    • Inspection, integration, and test run on machines based on supplied programs.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP systems, Solidworks, NX, AutoCad, or/other relevant CAD/CAM software.

    • Plans and executes experiments and gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, manipulates, and analyzes technical data.

    • Basic knowledge of machine controls, hydraulics pneumatics, and CNC operations

    • Performs under general supervision, applies intermediate skills, may adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, etc.

    • Performs troubleshooting and continuous improvement involving the repairing and modification of machines.

    • Document, inspection, and test run results and recommend improvements for new and existing products in accordance with relevant engineering drawings and standards.

    • Plan time studies and standard work design, capacity analysis, tooling design

    • Participate in and lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives with the Machine Shop and overall Operations (e.g Kaizen & 5S Events)

    • Maintain good housekeeping, a healthy and safe work environment and the safe use of equipment and machinery.

    • Ensure any health and safety concerns and/or issues are communicated/passed to the Health & Safety Manager.

    Critical Experience:: (what the role holder must know; including any required general or professional qualifications/education)

    Mathematical Skills :

    • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

    • Familiarity with geometry and trigonometry.

    Experience :

    • At least 5 years of related experience in CNC setup and operations.

    • Proficiency with medical-grade materials. (e.g., Titanium, Stainless Steel, PEEK)

    • Familiarity with medical device design controls and GDMP

    • Basic understanding of CAD/CAM Programs. NX experience is preferred.

    • Adept at identifying the underlying causes of machine problems.

    Job Requirements:

    Education: ?

    • Completion of a?trade school program?in CNC machining or related field OR?Equivalent experience gained through on-the-job training and practical exposure to CNC machines.?At least 5 years of related experience.

    • Proficiency with medical-grade materials. (e.g., Titanium, Stainless Steel, PEEK)?

    Physical Demands:

    • Able to lift and move materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 50 pounds.?

    **Work Environment?**

    • Works near moving parts and may be exposed to fumes from machine fluids.?

    • Works in a controlled manufacturing area.?

    • Works in a moderate to loud noisy area.?

    • Adheres to strict hygiene and safety protocols.

    • Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment that demands high precision and high-volume repeatability at tight tolerances.

    • Medical device experience preferred

    • Must be a strong communicator and group collaborator

    Target Market Salary Range:

    Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.

    $23.10 - $40.60 per hour
