  • Are you an experienced CNC programmer looking for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a skilled individual to join their team! In this role, you will utilize CAD/CAM software to program and operate conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) mills and lathes and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.

    As a CNC programmer, you will analyze drawings, specifications, and defined manufacturing process plans to determine program input data such as manufacturing methods, tools, reference points, and work holding devices. You will determine operation flow, and speeds and feeds of selected cutting tools, as well as create tool paths on CAM software for use in production CNC machines. Additionally, you will create support documentation such as set-up plans, flow charts, tool lists, inspection method sheets, as well as special fixture and tool designs.

    The ideal candidate will have 5 years of prior manual machining experience and working knowledge of CNC machines and controls. You should have the ability to set up machines as required and identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Additionally, you should have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, as well as apply concepts of basic algebra, trigonometry, and geometry. A certificate for CAM software training is preferred.
