  • Hiring CNC Set Up Machinis for a company in San Diego, CA. Get paid weekly!

    1st shift hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

    2nd shift hours: 2:15pm - 10:45pm

    Description:

    • Primarily taking existing program and making tweaks and updates, to revise program

    • They DO NOT have to be able to do a full length job brand new, fixture, scratch, and design.

    Will not train on programming or set ups,

    20% / 30% programming

    70% / 80% of time is training new operators how to set up and operate machines

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    • Prior experience as a CNC programmer/machinist on milling machines is a must to be successful in this role.

    • Review parts in CAD system and assure CNC program accuracy.

    • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications including GD&T notes and specific criteria.

    • Develop CNC tool path programs with attention to collision avoidance (if assigned to program to a fixture or part, so that the tool/machine doesn't crash into another vice or fixture. Putting in clearances to avoid any crashing in the machine)

    • Provide tooling selection, set-up documentation as needed

    • Ability to trouble-shoot CNC programs for issues and errors. (usually like a set up is off, dimension is off or surface finish is not to spec.) / if machine alarms out being able to diagnose the problem)
