  • Description

    Work with associates and the management team to set direction and strategy of the operations department. The ideal candidate will embrace a culture of learning, which includes coaching, developing, and leading associates toward delivery of an exceptional client experience. The role will be responsible for leading operations activities related to derivative instruments and products.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of derivative instruments and products.

    • Oversee the daily operations of the derivatives team, including trade reporting, settlement, payments and cash reconciliation. .

    • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, and other stakeholders.

    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies

    • Train and mentor team members to ensure high-quality work

    • Help analyze and assess potential new products and services

    • Prepare and present reports on the performance of the team and the company's operations

    Requirements

    • Extensive knowledge of Derivative Operations, Including systems and products.

    • Excellent oral, written communication skills and interpersonal skills

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Exceptional PC skills including proficiency with applicable computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access) Excellent organizational and customer service skills

    • Ability to work with and meet deadlines

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities

    • Ability to organize and prioritize work

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines

    • Prefer a person with a 4 year college business focused degree

    • Prefer at least 8 years of operations experience including 2 years of management experience.

    • SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied

    • Series 99, or the ability to obtain within 120 days (as required by FINRA), plus additional licensing as required.

    • Preferred FINRA series 7 and 24 licenses
