The role drives quality, safety and productivity metrics for assigned operations department(s). Additionally, the Production Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the Leadership Team in growth, profitability, productivity, on-time delivery, and quality in assigned areas.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:+ Responsible for the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity for assigned department(s).+ Supervise and develop team of manufacturing employees.+ Complete employee performance reviews, employee relations activities, and corrective action in conjunction with Human Resources in a timely and effective manner.+ Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment in partnership with Operations Support Staff.+ Ensure personnel are kept informed of conditions, trends, and important activities affecting their area as well as daily results, quality issues and other business needs.+ Reviews hourly staffing by work area based on sales forecasts, trends in bookings, and management goals/objectives, ensure alignment with labor schedule.+ Manage and develop labor schedule in assigned areas.+ Manage labor budget in conjunction with business need for assigned areas.+ In conjunction with Operations, Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering, develops optimum capacity, efficiency, and profitability through the upgrading and modernization of facilities and equipment and improvements in manufacturing systems.+ Provide for the optimum utilization of personnel.+ Ensure that areas are staffed with competent personnel, and that potential supervisory personnel are being developed so that qualified successors are available for key positions within the organization.+ ·Actively ensure training and development of assigned personnel to maximize productivity across production departments.+ Assure compliance with regulatory directives.+ Assists Leadership Team in enforcing process changes following kaizen events and completing open newspaper items, as well as serving as replacement to Leadership in the event of his/her absence.+ Other projects and duties as assigned.Job Requirements:REQUIREMENTS:+ Bachelor's degree preferably in a technical related field or discipline OR equivalent combination of education and experience.+ 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Production or Assembly areas with ability to exercise independent judgment and excellent problem-solving skills to identify and remedy quality, productivity, delivery, and safety issues and possess extensive capabilities for planning and project management with consideration of cost, policy, Company directives, and talent.+ 2+ years of people management experience in an assembly/manufacturing operations.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:+ Superior communications skills.+ Excellent writing and administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)+ Strong ability to influence and lead others.DEMONSTRATED COMPETENCIES:+ Leadership :must be able to supervise large team of employees, with commitment to identifying and developing talent+ Influence: Ability to influence others - must be able to inform, convince, and persuade others to action on key initiatives+ Detail oriented : Attentive to details but also see the big picture+ Results driven: Finds personal reward in meeting deadlines and budget goals+ Communication : Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms with multiple audiences including hourly employees, Operations Support, Leadership Staff, etc.+ Strategic :Able make plans and decisions with future needs in mind, while considering resources available+ Adaptable: Able to drive and manage change, by embracing the EBS principle of continuous improvement.+ Accountability: Can communicate expectations to direct reports and others and hold them accountable for themEnvista and all Envista Companies are equal opportunity employers that evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, marital status, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other characteristics protected by law.
