Machine Operator

Description:

Must Haves

1. Mechanically inclined

2. HS or equivalent education is required

3. Machine operator 1+ years

4. If no machine operating, 3 years of mechanically inclined type of hobbies could be enough.

Will be working as a Machine Operator, so being mechanically inclined is important to be able to learn the machines. Safety is number 1!

Candidates that have experience using Slitting Machines, Extrusion machines, Rolling Mill Machines will adapt well.

But candidates that have experience working on cars and love to take things apart with their hands, should have the mechanical aptitude to be trained as a machine operator.

1st Shift Time: 6:00AM - 4:30PM but need to be flexible with a 5:00AM start time Mon-Thu

2nd Shift Time 4:30PM - 2:00AM Mon-Thu

Pay $18.48/hour (2nd Shift $2.00 differential)

Will be training for roughly around 1 month on average on day shift. Will be buddied up with an experience operator the entire time.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Operate Machine safely and following all procedures.

• Prioritize job flow based on input from production planning and supervision.

• Must be able to process work instructions.

• Record data on processes.

• Light maintenance of equipment.

• Read routings and shop orders - cross train as necessary.

• Maintain product traceability.

• Maintain accuracy in alloy identification, order documentation and data entry.

• Recognize and communicate quality issues through the process.

• Ability to cross-train and multitask on other equipment.

• Ability to lift 35 lbs or operate hoist for heavier material.

• Actively participate and engage in Department and Company Lean activities driving business improvement ideas, quality enhancements, productivity improvements, safety updates or other areas of Lean including 5S, Kaizen events, etc.

• All other tasks as assigned by his/her Supervisor/Manager.
