Manufacturing Painter B (2nd Shift) / Grand Prairie, TX

Description: Apply various types of protective coatings, prime, paint, ink, and finish to detail parts and assemblies for development, test equipment, tools, and production. Check surfaces prior to painting or treating for proper preparation. Operate associated paint equipment and facilities to perform application and preparation operations. Work from drawings, sketches, schematics, planning, change orders and verbal instructions. Apply tape and paper or other stencil and covers for coating location. Perform verification of accuracy using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, scales, micrometers, and gauges. Possibility for 2nd shift appointment.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, scales, micrometers, and pfund gauges

-Experience applying various types of protective coatings, prime, paint, ink, and finishes

-Experience operating standard paint equipment and facilities to perform application and preparation operations

-High school diploma or equivalent

-This position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen due to the program, contract, work location or clearance.

Desired Skills:

Prior painter experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment.

Able to perform Zahn Cup test.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
