  • We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support our Video Tape Digitization in Ann Arbor

    SUMMARY: The Operations Manager is the floor leader of an assigned workflow or large portion of a site operation. The role provides leadership for the Operations Supervisor, supporting technicians and the operators. They are a resource to team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice. The Operations Manager is responsible for knowing proper procedures for workers to follow and ensuring that they comply. They are responsible for the overall success of their assigned workflow or team by directing employees to achieve performance goals.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • To supervise and support all operational activities within a specific assigned workflow to ensure targets relating to Production, Quality, Health and Safety are achieved.

    • Play a key part in delivering Operational Full Potential with a focus on the continuous improvement process, procedure compliance, problem solving, root cause analysis, employee engagement and time management.

    • SLA/KPI Achievement - lead team to achieve the daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly Service Performance levels.

    • Develop, produce, and maintain reports representing service delivery and operations for daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly SLA's/KPI's

    • Cost Control - Manage overheads and associated costs to ensure budget targets are achieved and efficiencies are continuously generated as committed to the client.

    • Interface and actively participate in Group project teams on any site project works, providing insight into site production and operations, translating works into site production planning, and coordinating works appropriately, minimizing production and operations disruption.

    • Deliver on customer expectations through the guidance and support of the Site Operations and Global Digitization Manager

    • Develop skills and competence of production team to deliver site results via performance management processes, including ongoing coaching and communication.

    • Accomplish workflow objectives by communicating to direct reports the company strategy and job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and managing employee performance by developing and coordinating a continuous improvement culture.

    • Maintain staff by training employees; and developing personal growth opportunities.

    • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repair: evaluate new equipment and techniques.

    • Operate with complex spreadsheets.

    • Serve as back-up support to other Lead 2s.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor's degree in a related fields, or equivalent experience

    1-3 year of supervisory/ management experience of production staff

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

    • Able to communicate effectively and clearly in writing and orally, both in one-on-one and group presentation situations

    • Able to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management, including Senior Management and Human Resources

    • Excellent problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills

    • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identity problem areas and make recommendations for improvement

    • Excellent computer skills which must include Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Docs

    • Experience with manufacturing or process management (e.g. 5S, Lean, Six Sigma)

    • 5+ years of supervisory/management experience of production staff

    • Focus on process or continuous improvement skills

    • Experience with data processing, including Macro writing experience

    • Knows the concepts of digitization or scaling operations

    • PMP/PMI experience or certification

    • Automotive or other manufacturing experience if it relates to management of complex processes or procedures or diverse staff

    • Experience tracking metrics or enforcing performance requirements for a large team selected.

    Pay Details: $60,000.00 per year
