    Job Description:

    NOTE: This position is Hybrid working x3 days in office weekly and which days are flexible based on selected candidate's preference. Candidate must reside in either AEP's already established geographic areas of Columbus, OH or St. Albans, WV (in order to to adhere to local employment laws) .

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    To develop detailed work plans and outage plans for Renewable Projects (Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage). Develop plans by establishing measurable goals, objectives and requirements relative to specific area of responsibility. Establishes critical path plan, outage plans and matches labor expertise to specific jobs to improve the operating and maintenance outage efficiency of the plant or equipment assets. Assist in the development of long and short range plans for maintenance, capital, and staffing. Be proficient in the use of the work management systems and in the development of detailed work plans and outage plans. Perform planning functions required in outage / projects and other assignments in a safe, healthy, efficient and economic manner. Have the ability to analyze and recommend enhancements to department processes. Coordinate proper resources to the areas of the plant to optimize commercial availability.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1) Prepare cost estimates for projects and equipment outages. Assist in developing plans to improve operating and maintenance outage efficiency.

    2) Coordinate the development of input necessary to establish projected cost and duration.

    3) Plan all work activities in accordance with the policies, practices, standards and rules of the company.

    4) Coordinate plans with other pertinent personnel to identify needed estimates. Participates in company meetings covering outage / project schedule, safety issues and operations and maintenance of equipment related to work assignments.

    5) Review work orders for accuracy

    6) Prepare detailed plans for project, outage and maintenance work assignments.

    7) Understands the use of scheduling techniques for planning and update scheduling activities. Ensure that scheduled field work for the WTG is in the best interest of the Turbine condition and Energy Based Availability

    8) Produce final outage plans on assigned outage/projects.

    9) Prepares and analyzes reports.

    10) Captures applicable lessons learned and best in fleet safety practices for future planning.

    11) Knowledge and understanding of wind turbine components and associated maintenance practices.

    12) Knowledge and understanding of Solar components and associated maintenance practices.

    13) Plan major corrective replacements and repairs (gearbox, generator, rotor, main-shaft, blade). Confirm up tower components match work order components and scope. Ensure the crane schedule is accurate and up to date to support the major corrective replacements or repairs

    14) Confirm and communicate with repair facilities for component deliveries. Coordinate with facilities on component repair plans.

    Minimum Requirements:

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    Renewable Major Corrective Planner Senior (grade 7)

    Associate Degree in a technical related field with five (5) years of experience in a maintenance work environment or seven (7) years of maintenance experience.

    An additional nine (9) years of work related experience in outage/project planning/project field work activities and/or plant operations; or equivalent education/work experience.

    Total experience Associates = 14 yrs experience OR, without degree = 16 yrs experience.

    Renewable Major Corrective Planner Principal (grade 8)

    Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical related field OR, seven (7) years of maintenance related experience.

    An additional twelve (12) years of work related experience in outage/project planning/project field work activities and/or plant operations; or equivalent education/work experience.

    Total experience Bachelors = 19 yrs experience.
