  • Eaton's Power Components Division is hiring a Plant Manager in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. International Relocation is offered for this position. This position requires 10% travel.

    What you'll do:

    PRIMARY FUNCTION

    Eaton's Electrical Sector's Power Component Division (PCD) is seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Plant Manager in our Arecibo facility located in Puerto Rico where we predominantly manufacture circuit breakers that represents the heartbeat of electrical infrastructure.

    If you are seeking a highly visible and complex Plant Manager role where you will have significant exposure and interface with customers, this position is for you. You will have responsibility to lead the activities of approximately 1000 employees/contingent workers in a non-union environment, yielding $310M in sales.

    Reporting to the division Operations Director, this critical role assures that the operation is working profitably to provide products that consistently meet or exceed expectations in terms of quality and delivery while maximizing the return on assets.

    You will be empowered with your staff to plan, organize and direct the plant site functions to successfully meet both short and long-term business objectives. These include management of Environment Safety, and Health, Quality Assurance, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Materials Planning, Human Resources, Order Negotiation and Support, Business Systems, Technical Services, and Product Manufacturing & Assembly.     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Lead the successful deployment of our growth and digitalization strategies

    2. Implement and execute a sustainable manufacturing environment to achieve world class performance through continuous improvement methodology

    3. Insure an environmentally safe and efficient manufacturing operation

    4. Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to the site in the areas of Customer Service, Quality, Engineering/Operational Excellence, Finance, Human Resources, Manufacturing and Supply Chain/Materials Management

    5. Provide strategic leadership while building organizational capability necessary to achieve world class operational and financial results.

    6. Achieve our environmental and energy transition strategy.

    7. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive execution of site goals. Stakeholder include but are not limited to Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Inter-Unit partners.

    8. Ensure compliance with all government, financial, environmental and labor regulations as required

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience as manager of people in a manufacturing environment.

    • Prior experience leading across multiple functional areas.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Fluency in English and Spanish.

    • Product and commercial knowledge of the electrical components products and markets is strongly preferred.

    • Master's degree preferred

    • Lean manufacturing practitioner preferred

    • Fabrication experience preferred (stamping, machining, plating, etc.)

    • Must have a knowledge base of Manufacturing and the Manufacturing Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Customer Service, EHS, Finance, Human Resources, Quality and Supply Chain Management functions

    • Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills

The expected annual salary range for this role is $172500.03 - $253000.04 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
