Provide key operations leadership/management for the FCO business based in Raleigh, NC. Develop and execute the annual operations plan to meet/exceed all financial and performance objectives. Oversee all manufacturing activities to insure a safe work environment, quality workmanship, strong compliance adherence, and on-time customer service.
Manage machining, welding, assembly & test, planning/scheduling, receiving/warehousing, shipping, manufacturing engineering & tooling, field service, facilities & maintenance, and EH&S for a major engineered products heavy manufacturing 2 shift operation that serves the global flow control power market.
Develop and implement improved processes and procedures.
Motivate, challenge and develop personnel bench strength to insure continuous skill and performance improvement.
Interact with managers throughout the organization to insure the manufacturing organization plans and priorities are aligned with the company's operating and strategic goals and objectives.
Insure that all safety and health procedures and policies are followed and all Flowserve guidelines are implemented toward creating and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
Assure all products and services provided by operations meet applicable quality and safety requirements.
Manage all aspects of production such that employees and processes adhere to the requirements of the Quality Manual standards and procedures.
Meet or exceed all periodic and annual financial and operations performance goals.
Assess manufacturing operations staffing and skill requirements.
Provide leadership and development as required to achieve goals and objectives.
Develop and implement process changes that continuously improve on-time delivery, reduce operating and product costs, and reduce product lead-times.
Enforce work rules fairly and consistently throughout the manufacturing organization.
Develop and implement capital spending plans that meet the ongoing needs of the business for facilities, equipment, and productivity improvements.
Conduct business in professional and ethical manner consistent with the FLS code of Conduct and Values
Bachelor's Degree is strongly desired in a technical discipline - related industry experience may be considered.
Minimum of 10 years of experience is strongly desired in a heavy industrial manufacturing multi-shift environment.
5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with MRP systems and a strong Cross-functional knowledge of the overall manufacturing processes is required
Experience with international customers and/or suppliers is required.
Solid leadership and communication skills with a strong mechanical aptitude is required.
Strong administration and facilitating skills is required to interact with all facility personnel and customers via demonstrated proven experience.
Ability to multi-task and work with little direction is required in order be able to demonstrate a high level of sustained initiative that will be required to track, monitor and adhere to tactical and strategic business plans, forecasts, and initiatives.
Experience with machining, fabrication, welding, NDE, and product hydro & functional testing with engineered cast or forged products is a plus.
Machine tool technology and programming knowledge is a plus.
Experience with ASME code and the commercial nuclear industry requirements and expectations would be ideal.
