    Job Summary

    The Production Floor Supervisor supervises a manufacturing production area that fabricates and assembles Cyclonaire products and equipment. The Production Floor Supervisor is responsible for the development, training, and all-around execution of his or her team. The Production Floor Supervisor ensures production targets are met by executing the daily and weekly work schedules and following drawings, work instructions, core processes and SOP’s. Delivers training for new processes and/or equipment and onboards new employees. Conducts quality inspections on completed assemblies to validate function and product specifications. This role will be able to carry out its functions in accordance with Cyclonaire’s Core Values.

    Essential Functions

    Lead and supervise production floor activities, including coordinating with production workers, machine operators, and maintenance personnel.

    Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient resource utilization and optimal production output.

    Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, efficiency goals, and safety protocols.

    Train new employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies.

    Identify and address any production-related issues or bottlenecks that may affect output or quality.

    Collaborate with the Production Manager and / or Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement process improvements for enhanced productivity.

    Maintain accurate production records, including inventory levels, production rates, and equipment maintenance schedules.

    Ensure that all safety guidelines and regulations are followed by all team members and report any safety concerns to the appropriate departments.

    Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth operations and timely problem-solving.

    Lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.

    Conduct regular performance evaluations for production floor staff, providing feedback and addressing any areas for development.

    Monitor and manage employee attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies.

    Competencies: Problem solving and critical thinking skills are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to communicate effectively with staff on a professional level, exercising tact and discretion. Must be able to work in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Microsoft Teams. Understanding of Workflows, SolidWorks and other CAD software is desired.

    Education / Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Previous supervisory experience with 2 years of individual contributor experience is preferred. Familiarity with industrial equipment, manufacturing processes and metal fabrication is desired.

    Physical Demands: Requires frequent touching, grasping, and feeling of physical equipment. Talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are required. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Work requires constant visual ability. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds independently.

    Work Environment: Clean and climate-controlled manufacturing facility.

    Travel Requirements: Travel may be required <5% of the time. Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that permits the use of company automobiles.

    Safety: Safety shoes (steel or composite toe), safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in designated areas.

    Other Duties: Safe work performance is always required from each employee. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals. Required to wear or use PPE as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions. Understanding and adhering to Cyclonaire Core Values is required.
