  • Production Operator - Batching Operator

    2nd Shift: 4PM - 2:30AM (Mon. - Thurs.) but 4PM - 4AM Mon. - Fri.) during peak season (i.e., March - September)

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow plant policies and procedures.

    • Must have experience as Batchmaker II

    • Conduct Powell safety inspections (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly) and ensure corrective actions are completed.

    • Daily reporting of batch production.

    • Daily Tank Inventory and cycle counts of chemicals.

    • Understand and have a working knowledge of WHMIS and MSDS.

    • Review Chemical Batch Sets and secure chemicals from staging area and/ or weigh. Ensure that all Chemical Batch Sets are fully and accurately completed.

    • Be able to compound all batches within assigned department without supervision.

    • Pump batches to specified holding tanks / totes.

    • Follow specified sampling procedures, sample finish batches upon completion. Label and take samples to the lab for testing.

    • Make batch adjustments prescribed by the lab when necessary. Re-sample if required.

    • Remove garbage and empty drums for disposal as required.

    • Maintain a tidy, clean, and safe work area at all times while batching.

    • Clean and sanitize equipment as required or assigned.

    • Keep accurate maintenance records.

    • Inventory raw materials (daily), if needed

    • Receiving raw materials, if needed

    • Maintain rail cars, checking daily for leaks, daily and monthly safety inspections

    What You'll Bring

    • Must be able to operate all compounding equipment within assigned department.

    • Must maintain forklift certification.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory practices.

    • Must be able to lift and carry weights and move 45-gallon drums from pallet

    • Able to work overtime when required

    • Willingness to work in Chemical environment

    • Intermediate Computer skills

    • Must be able to perform analytical testing for the products that are produced

    • Participation in the Hazmat Emergency Response Team

    We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a base salary range of $17.20 -$21.50/hour. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
