    Responsibilities - What You Will Do:

    How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!

    • Perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant operations and field activities that will evolve with each season throughout the year.

    • In early spring, allocate parent seed and create a system to track fields and materials in inventory, allocated and shipped.

    • During summer field season, manage 1099 and H2A contractors for detasseling and roguing work. This entails recruiting contractors, contract preparation, assigning daily work, entering payments and coaching on safety and quality.

    • Maintain positive working relationship with contractors, seed field inspectors and growers which may include mediating disputes and conflict resolution.

    • In the fall, dispatch truck fleet and facilitate efficient communication during harvest season to coordinate movement of corn between fields and production sites. 12 hour shifts and weekend work will be required during harvest (September/October)

    • In the winter, packaging and warehousing activities may including forklift operation, collecting samples, pooling, palletizing, re-work, color sorting, and lab work.

    • During peak packaging season (Nov-Feb), shift work in the production plant will be required. The Princeton production plant runs a 16/5, 20/5, or 24/5 schedule based on global demand. Shifts rotate every two weeks and hours can be 8 to 12, depending on which schedule is utilized.

    • Collaborate with site production, agronomy and administrative team.

    • Create, develop, and maintain data entry processes for field agronomy, as well as plant operations and harvest activities.

    • Handle daily transactions with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Prepare correspondence, documents and reports.

    • Support Continuous Improvement activities around Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

    • Utilize systems such as SAP/R3 as a fundamental basis of performing job.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by the leadership team.

    • You have your High School diploma/GED or higher.

    • You have experience with technology - iPads, computers, Microsoft Office, etc.

    • You have a valid driver's license, so you will be able to drive company vehicles on-assignment when needed, like field inspections or detasseling in the summer.

    • You value the safety of yourself and your co-workers and will eagerly participate in safe work practices, on-the-job safety, and work safety programs.

    • Chilly warehouse? Dusty field inspections? No problem! You love to get out there and be in the heart of operations with your team and work hard!

    • You always are willing to help out and physical work isn't a problem for you...Passing by a team member struggling to lift something?     Preferences - It Would Be Great If You Have:

    • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized Work.

    • Two years of on-the-job related agricultural, production, or manufacturing experience.

    • Knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations.

    • Knowledge of agriculture plant & field equipment.

    • You have strong seed corn experience.

    • Knowledge of SAP (R3) & Warehouse Management
