Will provide leadership for assigned shift in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, cost, and equipment.     Job Description:

    Essential Duties and responsibilities:

    • Complies with and enforce all company policies and plant rules and procedures, to include Safety, Quality, GMPs, and General Work Rules.

    • Assign work, analyze productivity, workflow, methods and procedures, making recommendations to management as appropriate

    • Enforce all company policies and plant rules, to include but not limited to problem solving, development & implementation of standard operating procedures.

    • Examine production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

    • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

    • Responsible for recognizing, reporting and troubleshooting food safety and/or quality issues.

    • Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs set up and adjustments as needed.

    • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces human and food safety and GMP regulations.

    • Administer discipline, corrective action and coaching as needed.

    • Guides, coaches and develops employees in a worker-friendly team environment that rewards performance with respect and trust.

    • Confers with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of production requirements/staffing needs.

    • Communicate written and oral instructions to work team.

    • Direct Line/Department supervision and work flow analysis

    • Confirm production and evaluate downtime (SAP/CDC/DPR)

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (List all required):

    • Communicate with all levels of management and subordinates using both verbal and written formats.

    • Able to work effectively with others, have good interpersonal and leadership skills

    • Excellent communication & facilitation skills.

    • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of organization.

    • Self motivated.

    • Ability to establish project and priorities

    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule

    Skills, Experience and Education:

    • Bachelor Degree preferred.

    • Minimum 3 years of experience supervising employees.

    • Prior experience in food manufacturing environment.

    • Proficient use of computer programs and software, including MS Office

    • SAP experienced

    Minimum Physical Requirements

    The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    • Walk/Stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift and be able to twist, bend, stoop and reach.

    • Lift/push/pull objects weighing up to 55 pounds to chest level occasionally during a shift.

    • Use one or both hands to hold, grip, and use tools required for duties, including but not limited to a knife.

    • Listen and talk effectively on an ongoing basis in an atmosphere of moderate to loud noise.

    • Work in warm, hot, humid and/or wet conditions.

    • Must be able to wear: Hearing protection, eye protection, hand protection when required, head protection when required, safety harness when required.
