This position focuses on maintaining a smooth flow of material and the execution of work orders to on-time completion. The Production Supervisor leads, directs and manages all other production resources, including the use of people, machines, tools, fixtures and software where necessary. This position is the "front-line" of management and is responsible for executing disciplinary actions when company policies or union agreements are not followed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties may be assigned, in addition to those identified below.Enables work centers to be ready and capable of producing the required work.Motivates personnel to perform at peak levels while maintaining a positive working environmentMaintains close communications between all Leads and hourly personnel.Provides feedback to management on any and all issues.Ensures that all company policies are upheld.Prepares the facilities and personnel for overtime when required.Executes the daily production plan to due date conformance and quality standards.Maintains accurate records of production and reporting the status of work.Appropriately enforces the collective agreement in detail.Reports any and all anticipated delays to the Master Production Scheduler.Analyses of safety incidents to determine the root cause and develops an implementation strategy to prevent reoccurrences.Executes all operator-conducted preventative maintenance tasks in a timely fashion.Executes disciplinary action when required.Maintains OSHA standards and ensuring that all health and safety regulations are enforced.Executes procedures, documentation and assures the proper care for any injured worker.Job Requirements:+ Bachelors degree in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.+ Three years experience in similar position including work leadership or supervision in a manufacturing setting.+ Thorough understanding of DBS systems (Kaizen, KANBAN, Standard Work, 5S, etc.)+ Skilled at conflict resolution techniques.
