Food Technician - Tappan, NY

Monday - Saturday 4pm-2am

$25-$28/hr

Our client in Tappan, NY is looking for a hardworking, motivated Food Technologist to join their team. Food Technologists set standards for producing, packaging, and marketing foods. In addition to performing quality control tests, maintaining corresping records and create associated certification and/or control charts for raw materials, products and related quality processes.

What will you be doing?

• Enforce HACCP, GMP's and Food Safety & Security plans/procedures; update and maintain to ensure compliance with federal, state regulations and other regulatory agencies, at all times

• Maintain understanding of all manufactured product as well as raw and packaging materials and operations required in the manufacturing process including quality specification and standards.

• Develop food standards,safety and sanitary regulations and waste management and water supply specifications

• Perform pre operational, operational and post operation checks, daily.

• Supervise and participate in all phases of production

• Inspect incoming goods and advise supervisors of off specifications of goods

• Check product formulations

• Ensure all testing instruments are calibrated accurately

What do you bring?

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology or Food Science or equivalent

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Data Entry Software

• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience

• Proficiency in product development

• Working knowledge of plant equipment, plant processes and facilities
