    Work Location : Long Island City, NY

    About Client: Our client - "the world's largest manufacturer of professional dental products/technologies." We work with them in over 10 different locations. Main sites include York, PA; Milford, DE; Sarasota, FL. Onsites in Milford and Sarasota. York has a "near-site" Adecco contact. Mostly LI, but also so Clerical/Admin and Professional.

    Job Description:

    • Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Uses gauges and other devices to verify conformity of product to specifications, segregates non-conforming parts.

    • Documents result/progress of work on paper forms (such as inspection, process, calibration records, time sheets etc...) and on a computer.

    • May suggest or recommend changes regarding special requirements.

    • May assist in implementing a total quality management program and/or train others on total quality management.

    • Provides ongoing feedback to engineering, quality, manufacturing departments about ongoing quality issues. Skills and Knowledge

    • Ability to read and understand and apply a variety of office or plant procedures.

    • Knowledgeable in the use of various measuring devices such as gauges, rulers, calipers, micrometers, precision scales, magnifiers, and electrical meters.

    • Knowledge of computerized vision measurement systems is a plus.

    • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and associated tolerances.

    • Knowledge and ability to use PC, operate office and basic plant equipment. (compressed air supply, higher voltage electrical supply, safety basics, lockout tag-out procedures)

    • Knowledge of using Windows Operating System, MS. Office, Internet Browsers, and Email.

    • Familiarity with ESD safe handling/control practices is a plus.

    • Good in-person, verbal, written, and email communication skills.

    • Good vision (includes color perception) and ability to work with small components.

    • Neat, legible, and comprehensive record keeping. Summary:

    • Education / Experience:

    • Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent experience and 4 years or more of relevant work experience.

    • Ability to use a computer, office automation tools, and plant equipment. . Problem Solving:

    • Work tasks are generally defined and are routine or repetitive;

    • Decisions are typically task-related involving a few clear-cut alternative courses of action.

    • Procedures and technical aids are generally available.

    Experience requirements: (ex: entry level, 5 years, etc.)

    1-3 years of experience

    Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
