  • Position: Rail Grinding Specialist Job Description: Advanced Rail Management has an immediate opening for a Rail Grinding Specialist. This position will involve on-track supervision of rail grinding operations, communicating grinding profile details to grinding car operators in real-time, analyzing pre- and post-grind rail conditions, developing grinding plans based on data, and submitting a combination of daily, weekly, and monthly grinding status updates to project managers. This is a travelling work position that would not involve relocation. Advanced Rail Management’s administrative offices are located in Indialantic, Florida and Winnipeg, Canada. Requirements: Minimum ten (10) years railroad experience for Senior position Minimum two (2) years railroad experience for Junior position Ability to pass FRA-Mandated Roadway Worker Protection (RWP) classes Extensive travel for extended time periods Ability to work outdoors, on elevated bridges, and in tunnels; through various weather conditions High school education or GED Must be able to work varying shift lengths (up to 12 hours), including weekends and/or holidays Skilled in written and verbal communication Ability to adapt to changes regarding daily tasks and scheduled work hours Auditory & Visual acuity Physically able to perform frequent walking and standing on uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, balancing, crouching, climbing, while maintaining radio contact with grinding car operators. Pre-employment drug test is required.
