Responsible for coordinating, prioritizing and second sourcing Machine Shop job requests. Maintains the machine shop and its equipment in a manner that promotes an efficient, safe and clean working environment. Typical duties include:
Assign and prioritize tasks for machinists.
Maintain Machine Shop in such a manner as to promote a safe and clean working environment.
Work with R&D and Engineering to be able to produce equipment and tooling that is better optimized for machining.
Maintain relationships with outside machine shops to outsource machining in a timely fashion to ensure appropriate turnaround of Machine Shop requests.
Maintain sufficient material stock to meet the majority of material needs.
Track machinists' time for projects in order to be able to provide a labor cost for equipment and tooling that is manufactured in-house.
Update Job Status Board notifying customers of current job status.
Set-up equipment to fabricate tooling.
Fabricate and assemble production tooling.
Clean, inspect and repair production tooling.
Other tasks as assigned.

Basic assembly skills.
HS diploma or equivalent.
10 years experience with conventional machines, lathe, milling machine and surface grinder.
Ability to perform own set ups
Possess machine shop math skills and ability to perform calculations.
Good communication skills required.
Previous management experience preferred.
Ability to read, interpret, and modify drawings and sketches.
Solidworks experience preferred.
The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship.
