  • Job SummaryUnder direction of the Production Lead and the area supervisor, the Production Assembly Technician will build a wide-range of high purity hose assemblies that meet or exceed customer requirements. Uses a variety of manufacturing and measuring equipment such as tube cutters, band saw, rulers, hydraulic crimping presses, silicone presses, and pressure test equipment. Follows products work instructions, standard operating processes, and engineering drawings to accurately and efficiently build product and maintain associated data throughout the process. Meets or exceeds known labor times. Completes products according to the priority of the weekly build schedule to meet on-time delivery goals and customer satisfaction. Maintains a high standard of quality in to meet goals for internal first pass yield and external customer returns. The production assembly technician will be proactive and communicate any issues to leadership that would prevent he or she from achieving their goals. Maintains the work area by observing all standard operating processes and compliance. Uses the appropriate personal protective equipment and reports near misses and first aid events.MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)+ Responsible for wearing appropriate personal protective equipment as specified by area requirements or task. Must report safety incidents including injuries or near misses and unsafe conditions.+ Responsible for building various hose and tubing assemblies per work instructions and, cleaning and packaging.+ Accurately reading tape measures, calipers and other measuring equipment.+ Uses good reasoning skill to reverse engineer customer requirements in order to build hoses at precise measurements. + Operate and maintain production equipment according to SOPs.+ Participate in and assist with implementation of continuous improvement projects. + Comply with ISO and cGMP regulations.+ Identify process deviation and take immediate action to mitigate event.+ Daily organization and cleanliness of work area to comply with regulatory requirements.+ Participate and work within ISO 9001-2015 quality standards guidelines in all manufacturing areas in accordance with company quality goals. + Maintain company product quality standards in accordance with company quality goals.+ May assist in shipping and receiving activities as necessary.+ Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)Minimum Qualifications:+ High School completion or equivalent (GED);Preferred Qualifications:+ Associate's degree+ Experience in a manufacturing environment.+ Prior production or construction experience+ Experience with ERP systemsKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)+ Experience with measuring equipment+ Proficient in converting decimals to fractions+ Experience with saws and other cutting equipment and tools+ Experience using process machines and planned maintenance+ Must be highly detail oriented+ Strong communication skills+ Ability to work in a team environment+ Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality+ Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies and procedures+ Must be flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently+ Must be able to lift 50lbs minimum+ Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel+ Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines+ Problem-solving skillsENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)The work environment characteristics and physical effort described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Furthermore, the job requires associates to lift/carry/push or pull up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating as well as both feet for repetitive movement operating foots controls.
