Tool and Die Maker - EDM Operator

CAM Engineered Products is seeking a Tool & Die Maker - EDM Operator to join our team. As a Tool & Die Maker - EDM Operator you'll manufacture fixtures, tools, and operate machinery to be used in our manufacturing operations.

Your job duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Fabricates parts based on specifications such as blueprints, sketches, and descriptions

• Sets up and operates machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to machine parts

• Verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications

• Responsible for the maintenance, repair and/or replacing of all tools

• Uses measuring instruments (dial indicators, gauge blocks, thickness gauges, micrometers, etc.) to verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances

• Performs preventative maintenance on all tools and dies

• Repairs and/or replaces tools and dies as needed

• Set-up and operate wire EDM to perform, tight-tolerance EDM operations on various tooling components

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education and experience: 2 to 3 years of tool & die or Wire EDM experience

• Completion of a Tool & Die apprenticeship program preferred

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Ability to read basic measuring devices

• Displays knowledge and understanding of tooling processes including operation, maintenance, repair, design, production prep, etc.

• Displays a strong leadership mentality

• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment
