Our client is seeking a highly skilled Tool Maker (Mechanical) to join our mold shop team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and proficiency in mold making, benching, fitting mold components, and working with various equipment. Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a mold maker benching and fitting mold components within a mold base.

• Demonstrated proficiency in working with the following equipment:

• Knee Mill

• Turret or manual lathe

• Surface grinder

• Radial arm drill press

• Tig welding of mold cavities

• 5 years of Laser welding (Yag or flex weld repair application)

• Understanding of tool steels regarding working with these steels

• CNC VMC experience desirable

• CMM experience desirable

• Experience working in a mold shop or tool shop, making new cavities or details.

• Must have own measurement tools.

• Programming experience with Master Cam desirable.

• Ability to work independently, follow verbal directions, and interpret blueprints.

• Willingness to work off hours or off shifts as needed.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on the manufacturing floor regarding failures.

• Desire to pursue specific training and additional school classes to enhance skills and promote growth within the mold shop.

• Openness and willingness to mentor younger and new team members.

Day shift M-F 7:30am-3:30pm

Pay- 32-34/hr
