    Kamatics, a divison of Kaman that speicalizes in self-lubricating bearings and engineered products, is looking for an experienced Toolmaker

    to join our team in Bloomfield, CT on 1st shift.

    The core hours for the position are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and we are currently running one hour of mandatory overtime, at the beginning of the shift for a required 45 hours a week.

    Overttime pay is 1.5x the hourly rate for all hours in excess of 40 hours in a week. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits including a 100% dollar for dollar match on the first 5% you contribute to the 401(k) plan along with generous time-off programs.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Set up and performs machining operations on complex machines in the tool room. Makes adjustments to meet customer requirements. Works to close tolerances. Develops and documents procedures.

    • Read, understand and take direction from blueprints. Able to complete complex tasks with autonomy.

    • Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations. Follows work procedures.

    • Act as a troubleshooter for tooling and machining problems.

    • Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Reports safety incidents to supervisor.

    • Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contributes to 5 S program in work area.

    • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive team environment.

    • Perform other duties as assigned. Participates in training/learning other positions. Accomplishes related results as needed.

    Qualifications

    Education: High School diploma / GED.

    Experience: Minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience.
