    Salary: Depends on Experience Status: Non-Exempt

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

    Provides routine vehicle maintenance and service the Center's vehicles and other motorized equipment.

    REPORTS TO:

    Maintenance Supervisor

    SUPERVISES:

    None

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of high school diploma or GED,

    • 5 years documented mechanic experience.

    • Valid Class A Texas Driver's License and any other licenses or certification as required by law.

    • Must pass criminal history check.

    • Must pass drug screen.

    • Travel as required.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES:

    • The ability to daily fuel the Center vehicles/equipment.
    • The ability to establish and maintain a written procedure for documenting:
      • oil
      • filter
      • service requirements for Center vehicles/motorized equipment
    • The ability to carry out a routine service inspection to make sure that vehicles are roadworthy. In such instances, will test and lubricate the vehicles components and replace or repair worn parts.
    • Ability to relate to youth with behavioral problems.
    • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
