    We have an immediate need for a Treatment Plant Operator in Hanover, NH. The Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for operation and maintenance (O&M), monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of various environmental treatment plants. These may include groundwater treatment plants, wastewater pretreatment plants, drinking water treatment plants, non-contact cooling water treatment plants, soil vapor extraction/air sparge (SVE/AS) systems, vapor intrusion mitigation systems, or other treatment plants employing various treatment technologies.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform Treatment Plant O&M in accordance with prescribed requirements including discharge permit requirements.

    • Perform instrument calibration/measurement/data recording for operating parameters.

    • Collect process samples to be shipped for laboratory analysis.

    • Perform routine maintenance items such as filter changeouts, carbon backwashing, carbon or other media changeouts, pump and motor servicing, and/or any other routine maintenance required.

    • Respond to system call-outs as required to keep the treatment plant running continuously.

    • Perform/oversee routine site maintenance including limited mowing and snow removal.

    • Perform troubleshooting activities. Assist with repairs and treatment plant upgrades or modifications.

    • Prepare daily reports to be emailed to the Project Manager.

    • Oversee onsite activities to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.

    • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.

    • Assist in generating Request for Information and Change Order documents, including labor and materials costs for necessary maintenance.

    • Prepare internal reports pertaining to job status.

    • Familiarity/experience with operation/control of:

    • Remote recovery wells

    • Air stripping units

    • Vapor-phase and liquid-phase granulated activated carbon (VGAC, LGAC) treatment equipment.

    • Advance oxidation process (AOP) systems

    • Infiltration basins/wells/galleries for treated effluent

    • Disinfection processes for potable water plants

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.

    • NH Wastewater Treatment Plant or Certified Water Works Operator license (Grade 1A minimum) or ability to get NH reciprocity if licensed in another state.

    • Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Minimum- OSHA 40 hr HAZWOPER and applicable 8 hr HAZWOPER Refresher Training. OSHA 30 hr Construction Safety and USACE CQCM Training desired.
