Boiler Operator - Albany Memorial Hospital - Full Time DaysA Boiler Operator is in charge of shift operation of the Boiler House to maintain continuous steam supply to the Hospital for heat, hot water, sterilization and related uses. Boiler House procedures and related boiler codes provided in the Boiler House Procedure Manual must be adhered to at all times.Position Highlights:Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life convergeAdvancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career developmentWork/Life: Positions and shifts to accommodate all schedulesResponsibilities:Starts and stops boilers and adjusts controls to maintain required steam supply.Monitors boiler firing rate, flame conditions, water level, flue temperature and fuel supply.Follows Boiler House Procedure Manual in checking safety devices and relays on each boiler.Checks feed water pumps and supply system each shiftChecks Natural Gas system regulators, automatic valves and vents for leaks and proper operation each shiftChecks air compressor, dryer, filters and blow downs each shift- Checks flue gas system for proper operation including automatic dampers, damper controllers, and heat recovery equipment for leaks and general conditionWhat you will need:3 years high pressure steam boiler operation and repair preferred with emphasis on high pressure pumps and electro-pneumatic controls.High School Diploma or equivalent.Please be aware for the safety and security of our colleagues and patients all new employees are required to undergo and pass all applicable state and federally mandated pre-employment screening requirements including:Relevant Background ChecksDrug ScreenPPD / Tuberculosis TestFull Time Benefits - starting on Day 1MedicalDentalVisionPaid Days Off& More****We thank you for your interest in St. Peter's Health Partners and look forward to hearing from you soon!Pay Range:$19.20 - $26.63 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
