Coil Machine Set Up Operator

Our client, a well-known multinational company that produces fire, HVAC, and security equipment for buildings, is seeking Coil machine set up operator. As a Coil machine set up operator, you will perform duties working with parts for assembly to specifications and to set-up any of the following equipment: fin press, expander press, and hairpin tubing press. Ideal candidates will have a great attitude, good communication, and ability to work well in a team environment which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Coil machine set up operator

Location: Wichita, KS

Pay: $16.00-17.75 per hour

What's the Job?

• Handles material to and from work station.

• Gets job instructions, handles materials to and from work station.

• Sets up and operates the fin press, expander press, hairpin tubing press.

• Determines need for tool and die care.

• Performs maintenance as necessary, maintains quality standards, reports material shortages, keeps work station in order.

• Read and understand Operational Method Sheets (OMS) job instructions.

• Handles material to and from work station.

• Get work station and equipment ready for production.

• Maintains quality standards, performs first and last inspection of parts produced against OMS, and/or specification and keeps work station in order.

• Perform any and all other department duties as assigned by Supervisor and observe all safety rules.

What's Needed?

• Steel toe shoes

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

• Steel Pressing experience

• Ability to stand, stoop, squat, bend, and lift up to 50lbs

• Ability to use basic hand tools and read/interpret blueprints and tape measure

• Work with fractions and decimals.

• Should have Grade 3 steel Press experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
