    Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Tool & Die Maker with expertise in the maintenance and repair of eyelet presses and progressive presses used in automotive manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.     Responsibilities

    • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot eyelet presses and progressive presses to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

    • Fabricate and modify dies, molds, and tooling components according to engineering specifications and production requirements.

    • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.

    • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

    • Conduct quality inspections of tooling components to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications.

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory levels.

    • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in tool and die making or a related field preferred.

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker in automotive manufacturing.

    • Proficiency in the maintenance and repair of eyelet presses and progressive presses.

    • Knowledge of machining principles, including experience with CNC machining centers and EDM (electrical discharge machining).

    • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for tooling design and modification.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with stamping dies and press tooling.

    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

    • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.

    • Availability for on-call duty and occasional overtime as needed.
